Dinner for one?

German New Year has a very important tradition, which is to watch the black and white film “Dinner For One”. Since 1963, German television stations have been broadcasting this British comedy short on December 31st, and it is also the most-watched film in German history. The film is entirely in English, but the humor is popular and easy to understand. The play tells the story of Miss Sophie’s 90th birthday, where her butler impersonates her four friends.
