The Grandeur of Time: Exploring the World's Largest Cuckoo Clock in Schonach, Black Forest

The largest cuckoo clock is located in Schonach, a village in the Black Forest region of Germany. Known as the “Schonacher Uhrenwelt” or “Schonach Clock World,” this giant cuckoo clock was built in 1994 and holds the Guinness World Record for the world’s largest cuckoo clock.

The clock stands at over 15 feet (4.5 meters) in height and features intricate carvings and traditional cuckoo clock elements. Instead of a typical cuckoo bird, this massive clock presents a wooden figurine of a Black Forest couple in traditional attire. At the top of each hour, the doors swing open, and the figures rotate, accompanied by music and the familiar cuckoo bird call.

The Schonach Clock World is a popular tourist attraction in the Black Forest, allowing visitors to experience the charm of traditional cuckoo clocks on a grand scale.
