St. Martin’s Day

 

Christmas is just around the corner, and geese are in for a rude awakening. That’s right, it’s St. Martin’s Day. In central Switzerland, the traditional custom on this day is to use a saber to behead poultry and to wear funny masks in exchange for cheese.
