Chongqing: A Mountain City Marvel with Trains Through Towers

Chongqing is located in southwest China, it is the most populous city in China and the third most populous metropolitan area in the world. 

The city is built on mountains, and two major rivers flow through it, creating a unique and beautiful landscape.

What’s particularly eye-catching is that Chongqing has a city rail system that directly passes through residential buildings. This design aims to save land resources and reflects the characteristic of Chongqing as a “mountain city.” Various measures were taken during construction to minimize the impact on residents’ lives. For instance, the city rail track uses low-noise and low-vibration equipment, the wheels are made of inflatable rubber tires, and the entire train body is supported by air springs.

重慶位於中國西南，是中國人口最多的城市，也是世界上人口第三大的都會。這座城市建於群山之上，其中兩條大江也流經這座城市，因此造成了很奇特美麗的景觀。

最讓人瞠目結舌的是重慶竟然有一條輕軌，直接穿越住宅樓。這個設計是為了節約土地資源，同時也體現了重慶“山城”特色。該設計在施工時也採取了多種措施，以減少對居民生活造成的影響，例如，輕軌軌道采用低噪音和低振動設備，車輪為充氣體橡膠輪胎，並由空氣彈簧支持整個車體。

輕軌穿越居民樓的設計在國內外都引起了轟動，也成為了重慶的一大地標。

Chongqing liegt im Südwesten Chinas und ist die bevölkerungsreichste Stadt des Landes sowie das drittgrößte Ballungsgebiet der Welt. Die Stadt ist auf Bergen erbaut, durch die auch zwei große Flüsse fließen, was zu einer einzigartigen und schönen Landschaft führt.

Besonders beeindruckend ist, dass Chongqing ein Stadtbahnsystem hat, das direkt durch Wohngebäude verläuft. Dieses Design zielt darauf ab, Landressourcen zu sparen und spiegelt die Eigenschaft von Chongqing als “Bergstadt” wider. Während des Baus wurden verschiedene Maßnahmen ergriffen, um die Auswirkungen auf das Leben der Bewohner zu minimieren. Zum Beispiel verwendet die Stadtbahnstrecke leise und vibrationsarme Ausrüstung, die Räder bestehen aus aufblasbaren Gummireifen, und der gesamte Zugkörper wird von Luftfedern gestützt.
