Eurovision: Celebrating Music, Diversity, and Spectacle

Eurovision, officially known as the Eurovision Song Contest, is an annual international song competition held primarily among the member countries of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU). It has been running since 1956 and has become one of the longest-running and most-watched non-sporting events in the world. Each participating country submits an original song to be performed live on television and radio, and then votes are cast by participating countries to determine the winner. Eurovision is known for its diverse musical styles, elaborate stage performances, and sometimes quirky or extravagant acts. It has a massive following across Europe and beyond, with millions of viewers tuning in to watch the spectacle each year.

This year, the Eurovision Song Contest takes place in Sweden on 7 May and my favorite participant is Angelina Mango from Italy. Her unique voice and powerful song, ‘La Noia,’ are sure to make a lasting impression!
