Monte Isola, located in Lake Iseo in Lombardy, Italy, is the largest lake island in Italy and one of the largest in Europe. Monte Isola gained international fame in 2016 when artist Christo’s “The Floating Piers” art installation allowed visitors to walk on water between the island and the mainland.
